In Germany, ELOMECH-Gruppe carries through strategic projects for the tertiary market

Eiffage Énergie Systèmes’ German subsidiary ELOMECH-Gruppe has been a tertiary market specialist for over 40 years, and today employs a workforce of more than 600. Elomech is currently carrying out 2 projects in Essen, the first involving the future police station and the second, Aldi North Campus.

Before relocating to the former Karstadt shopping mall, Essen police entrusted our German subsidiary with major electrical works. Redevelopment of the site, which covers over 26,800 m2, includes the construction of an 890-space car park, a car wash and a garage. Our teams have been at work on this huge project since September 2019. 50 employees are currently putting in the building’s high and low voltage power supply. They are also in charge of installing the future police headquarters’ fire alarm system, safety lighting, access control system and data networks.

In Essen-Kray, our teams are also to take part in building the Aldi North Campus. This time, they will be involved in site planning, and are in charge of high and low voltage electrical installations.  To carry through this project, ELOMECH-Gruppe has chosen to resort to Open-book accounting – a process enabling the optimization of calculation methods.

Construction work on this architectural complex is particularly environmentally friendly and meets sustainability standards (choice of local and reclaimed materials, green surfaces and roofs, power supply via a geothermal system, photovoltaic facilities etc.) with a view to obtaining green certifications and eco-labels (LEED and DGNB). Aldi Group’s 800 employees will move into these new premises worthy of a start-up in December 2021.
