Eiffage Énergie Systèmes takes part in building Botton-Champalimaud Pancreatic Centre in Lisbon.

Our Portuguese subsidiary JJTOMÉ is involved in building a centre devoted to pancreatic cancer research and treatment, for construction company Mota-Engil. The Botton-Champalimaud Pancreatic Centre was created from a merging of the Champalimaud Foundation and donations from Mauricio and Charlotte Botton, and is to open its doors in October 2021 after three years of works.

On this project, our electricians are in charge of electrical distribution throughout the building and our climate control specialists are to connect up the HVAC facilities.

The 12,000 m2 building comprising three storeys and two basement levels will include areas for leading-edge laboratories, operating theatres, inpatient rooms where ground-breaking treatment will be provided, examination rooms and a 300-space car park for medical staff, scientists and patients attending the facility.

The Botton-Champalimaud Pancreatic Centre is being built right next to the Champalimaud Foundation for biomedical research into cancer and neuroscience. It is worth noting that JJTOMÉ already took part in construction work on this futuristic building on the right bank of the River Tagus, in close proximity to the Belém Tower.
