Solar power plant
Quilapilun

Chili

En juillet 2017, la centrale solaire de Quilapilun au Chili était inaugurée. La construction de ce premier parc solaire à grande échelle a été confiée aux équipes d’Eiffage Energia, filiale Eiffage Énergie Systèmes.

A renewable energy success story

The 110 MW Quilapilun photovoltaic power plant is one of the largest ever built in Latin America. The installation features 350,000 solar panels generating 243 GWh of electric power annually. The plant produces enough energy to meet the needs of 110,000 households. This photovoltaic plant, located in the immediate vicinity of Santiago, is connected to the Central Interconnection System (SIC), enabling it to supply clean energy throughout central Chile.

Eiffage Energia was tasked with all infrastructure works, including earth-moving, roads, site accommodation and access to factories. The company also handled the mechanical and electrical installation works and subsequent testing and commissioning procedures.
