Expercité renovates lighting in the Bruay-sur-l'Escaut sports complex (59)
The town of Bruay-sur-l'Escaut commissioned our Expercité specialists to replace lighting on two pitches at the Jean-Philippe Gatien sports complex, in order to meet French Football Federation (FFF) accreditation standards.
The sports complex's main pitch and artificial training area are to be equipped with four 18-metre-high masts, each topped with three LED floodlights. Ten street lamps will also light the access road and the car park, while two cameras installed by our experts will ensure site surveillance.
“This high-performance lighting should enable Bruay-sur-l'Escaut to cut its energy costs. To meet FFF accreditation standards, it must also be consistent from one pitch to another and produce the lighting levels required by category E5, which governs facility standards for certain national, regional and local competitions," explained business manager Jean-Philippe Bethencourt.
Jean-Philippe Gatien sports complex was built on unstable and waterlogged ground, in the direct vicinity of the River Escaut. Micropiles with a diameter of 25 cm will be driven to a depth of 10 m in order to reinforce the anchoring of the masts in their concrete base. Once the structural work has been carried out by contracting authority Terenvi and Eiffage Route (in charge of the earthworks), our specialists will proceed to lay the cables, lift the lamp posts, and commission and adjust the lighting.
