Expercité wins the Sevran MGPE contract and sets itself seven years to modernise and optimise the town’s street lighting
The town of Sevran (Seine-Saint-Denis) has awarded Expercité a comprehensive energy performance contract (MGPE) with an 84-month lifespan. This long-term contract covers the operation, maintenance and refurbishment of the town’s public and sports lighting facilities, traffic lights and festive illuminations. Sevran has placed its trust in Expercité over time to ensure the reliability, modernisation and energy efficiency of its urban infrastructure.
The energy performance agreement signed with the town of Sevran is structured around three main areas: the maintenance of 6,234 light points and 108 LV cabinets; the replacement of 3,404 gas-discharge light fixtures with LEDs; and the roll-out of a remote management system covering all light points. This technology will enable remote adjustment of lighting output and automatic fault detection, thereby optimising response times. “This contract demonstrates our ability to combine energy efficiency with operational responsiveness, two essential factors for local authorities,” emphasised business manager Alexandre Perrière.
Responsiveness and versatility
Expercité has also undertaken to maintain 17 junctions fitted with traffic lights, with a guaranteed response time in the event of a breakdown. The teams' versatility is a major asset in this type of contract, as they carry out both routine facility maintenance and specific tasks, such as the assembly and dismantling of festive lighting. “Our teams draw on a wide range of skills to meet all the town’s needs, while consistently prioritising efficiency and speed,” explained Alexandre Perrière.
A long-term partnership
This seven-year partnership marks an important milestone for Sevran, which aims to modernise its electrical infrastructure while optimising costs and reducing its carbon footprint. The large-scale switch to LED technology and remote management will reduce energy consumption and improve the quality of street lighting. What's more, this comprehensive contract confirms Expercité’s position as a leading player in smart and sustainable urban infrastructure management.
